GENDER does LUFF Workshop

Each festival creates its own traditions, and LUFF is no exception. Ketchup and chainsaws, sex and transgression... but in the latter pair lies a somewhat opaque and overdone taboo combination. And so we feel the need to carve out a bubble with some breathing space to cut up, dissect, anatomise the programme of the festival. For three days, the franco-arab video artist/performer Victor Marzouk will lead a small group of explorers into the bowels of LUFF to hunt down and take over representations of genre in social interactions, film posters, or a festival-goer's gesture... By his side, the butoh performer and visual artist Hélène Barrier will apply Antonin Artaud's recommendation to «push metaphysics into the mind through the skin».

Warning: the workshop takes place over 3 days!
