The cinema of Dušan Makavejev has always raised controversy for its erotic content and its criticisms against Eastern European politics. In 1971, he got banned from Yugoslavian territory for having shot «WR: Mysteries of the Organism», a pseudo-documentary on psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich set as an erotico-political fiction in contemporary Belgrade. In exile until 1988, he shot «Sweet Movie» within an international collaboration, combining satire, sex, and political controversy, promoting a new form of anarchic art contrasting with traditional narrative genres. Makavejev attacked as much capitalism as soviet socialism, all representing different forms of the same fascism. Accused for its sexually charged content, including scatophilic scenes and child pornography, this atomic bomb has been censored in loads of countries.
